Strength and conditioning software cost changes sharply with roster size. A coach programming for a 20-athlete high school team sits in a completely different price band to a private facility owner running 100 athletes across multiple squads. The platform that looks cheap at 5 clients can become the most expensive option in the category by the time you reach 100.
This page sets out the verified monthly and annual cost across six platforms (QuickCoach, Trainerize, TrueCoach, Everfit, My PT Hub, and PT Distinction) at four roster breakpoints: 20, 40, 60 and 100 athletes. Every figure is transcribed from the pricing record we maintain, last verified July 2026. Add-on stacks an S&C coach actually needs are listed explicitly. No blended or rounded prices.
Two roster shapes dominate S&C work. Team coaches in schools, colleges, and academies tend to programme for a fixed annual squad, often 20 to 40 athletes. Private facility owners and performance consultants usually scale by intake, with rosters that climb past 60 and toward 100 as reputation builds. Both shapes run into the same pricing mechanics, but at different points. If you are still deciding which platform to commit to, our guide to choosing coaching software in 2026 works through the factors that matter before price.
The headline contrast. Trainerize's Pro slider scales with athlete count, reaching $225/month at 100 clients. QuickCoach Pro is one flat unlimited price at $39/month, or $32.50/month on annual billing. The gap between the two widens with every athlete you add.
The short version
At 20 athletes, QuickCoach Free $0 holds the roster inside its 20-client cap. The cheapest paid competitor is Everfit Pro 20 at roughly $49/month. PT Distinction Pro is $59.90 with branded apps included, TrueCoach Standard is $69.98, Trainerize Pro 30 is $79, and My PT Hub Premium at $105 is the ceiling.
At 20 athletes
Twenty athletes is the first roster where platform choice starts to bite. Below this, most free or entry tiers cover the squad. At 20, QuickCoach's free tier still holds the full roster, and the paid alternatives begin to stack up.
| Platform | Plan at this roster | Monthly | Annual (per month) | Add-ons an S&C coach needs | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| QuickCoach | Free (up to 20 clients) | $0 | $0 | None required. Full programming, workout builder, client apps, habit tracking included. | Pro at $39/$32.50 if branded app, emails, push notifications, or nutrition are needed before 20. |
| Trainerize | Pro 30 (Pro 15 caps at 15) | $79 | $71 | Custom Branded App $169 one-time plus $99/year Apple fee. Business $25/mo (payments, video, automation). | Pro 15 caps at 15 clients, so Pro 30 is the first tier that covers 20 with room. |
| TrueCoach | Standard (up to 20) | $69.98 | $57.99 | None required. Custom theming included. TrueCoach Payments at standard Stripe fees. | Most popular TrueCoach tier, and it hits its ceiling here. |
| Everfit | Pro 20 | ~$49 | $41 | Payments & Packages $9/mo monthly ($8/mo annual). Branding included in Pro. | Verify exact slider value when quoting mid-tier Pro prices. |
| My PT Hub | Premium (unlimited) | $105 | $90 | Custom-Branded App $145 one-time (on Starter and Premium). | Starter caps at 3 clients, so Premium is the realistic entry point. |
| PT Distinction | Pro (25 clients) | $59.90 | $59.90 | None required. Custom-branded iOS and Android included from Pro. | No separate annual rate listed. Extra clients $2.40/mo each beyond 25. |
QuickCoach Free is the only tier in the comparison that holds 20 athletes at zero cost, and the feature set is not a crippled trial. Programming and the workout builder are unlimited, client mobile and web apps are included, and there is no time limit. For a school S&C coach running one team, that is often the right answer. Where branding, push notifications, and printed plans matter, Pro at $39 is the upgrade. The full Pro feature set is laid out in our QuickCoach Pro feature and pricing breakdown.
At 40 athletes
Forty is where the market splits. The entry and mid tiers on most platforms have capped out, and you are either on a higher slider tier or paying for unlimited. This is also the point where Trainerize's Advanced Nutrition add-on steps up from $20 to $45 per month, because the breakpoint sits at Pro 30 and above.
| Platform | Plan at this roster | Monthly | Annual (per month) | Add-ons an S&C coach needs | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| QuickCoach | Pro (unlimited) | $39 | $32.50 | Coach Workflows $14.99/mo optional (automated check-in summaries and client reports). | Flat price from 21 clients onward. Branded app, habit tracking, nutrition included. |
| Trainerize | Pro 50 | $135 | $122 | Custom Branded App $169 one-time plus $99/year Apple. Business $25/mo. Advanced Nutrition $45/mo if used. | Advanced Nutrition steps up to $45/mo at Pro 30 and above. |
| TrueCoach | Pro (up to 50) | $164.98 | $136.99 | None required. Theming included from Standard. | Pro is the only TrueCoach tier that covers 40 athletes. |
| Everfit | Pro 50 | $95 | ~$79 | Payments & Packages $9/mo ($8/mo annual). Autoflow $29/mo optional. | Studio tiers are not needed until 50+ clients or bundled add-ons. |
| My PT Hub | Premium (unlimited) | $105 | $90 | Custom-Branded App $145 one-time. | Same tier as at 20. Unlimited clients throughout. |
| PT Distinction | Master (50 clients) | $89.90 | $89.90 | None required. Branded apps included on Pro and Master. | Pro $59.90 plus 15 extra at $2.40 = $95.90, so Master is cheaper. |
The comparison that matters here is between QuickCoach Pro and Trainerize Pro 50. Both are full-featured paid tiers, but the Trainerize bill is already $122 a month on annual billing before add-ons, against $32.50 for QuickCoach. The branded app on Trainerize adds a $169 setup fee and a $99 annual Apple Developer fee on top. Our Trainerize pricing breakdown walks through the full slider and where the add-ons stack.
At 60 athletes
Sixty athletes is where TrueCoach runs out of standard tiers. Pro caps at 50 clients, so a 60-athlete roster forces a Custom quote arranged with sales. The slider platforms keep climbing, and the flat-price platforms stay flat.
| Platform | Plan at this roster | Monthly | Annual (per month) | Add-ons an S&C coach needs | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| QuickCoach | Pro (unlimited) | $39 | $32.50 | Coach Workflows $14.99/mo optional. | Same flat price as at 20 athletes. |
| Trainerize | Pro 75 | $180 | $162 | Custom Branded App $169 one-time plus $99/year Apple. Business $25/mo. Advanced Nutrition $45/mo. | Slider keeps climbing with roster size. |
| TrueCoach | Custom quote required | On request | On request | Theming included from Standard up. Arranged with sales. | Pro caps at 50 clients. 60 athletes needs the Custom tier (up to 250). |
| Everfit | Pro 75 | $120 | $100 | Payments & Packages $9/mo ($8/mo annual). Autoflow $29/mo optional. | Studio 75 ($135/$113) only worth it if you want bundled add-ons. |
| My PT Hub | Premium (unlimited) | $105 | $90 | Custom-Branded App $145 one-time. | Still the same flat Premium tier. Does not scale with roster. |
| PT Distinction | Master plus 10 extra clients | $105.90 | $105.90 | None required. Branded apps included. | $89.90 base plus 10 x $1.60 extra-client fee. No annual rate listed. |
By 60 athletes the Trainerize monthly bill is approaching five times the QuickCoach Pro bill, and that is before the add-on stack. The Custom quote on TrueCoach is worth requesting if you are already on that platform, but for a coach comparing fresh, the flat-price options are doing the same job. Our TrueCoach pricing breakdown covers what the Custom tier tends to include.
At 100 athletes
One hundred athletes is private-facility territory. Most platforms have either moved you onto a Studio tier, a Custom quote, or a high slider breakpoint. QuickCoach Pro has not moved at all.
| Platform | Plan at this roster | Monthly | Annual (per month) | Add-ons an S&C coach needs | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| QuickCoach | Pro (unlimited) | $39 | $32.50 | Coach Workflows $14.99/mo optional. | Identical price to 20, 40, and 60 athletes. Flat and unlimited. |
| Trainerize | Pro 100 | $225 | $203 | Custom Branded App $169 one-time plus $99/year Apple. Business $25/mo. Advanced Nutrition $45/mo. | Slider reaches $225/mo at 100 clients. Studio tiers are per-location, priced separately. |
| TrueCoach | Custom quote required | On request | On request | Theming included. Arranged with sales. | Pro caps at 50. 100 athletes needs Custom (up to 250). |
| Everfit | Pro 100 | $140 | $117 | Payments & Packages $9/mo ($8/mo annual). Autoflow $29/mo. On-Demand Collections $25/mo optional. | Studio 100 ($165/$138) bundles Autoflow and On-Demand Collections if you want both. |
| My PT Hub | Premium (unlimited) | $105 | $90 | Custom-Branded App $145 one-time. Full White-Label App $225/mo if you need your own App Store listing. | Flat unlimited. Does not scale with roster. Ultimate bundles everything at $329/$309. |
| PT Distinction | Master plus 50 extra clients | $169.90 | $169.90 | None required. Branded apps included. | $89.90 plus 50 x $1.60 extra-client fee. No Custom tier listed. |
At 100 athletes the cost spread across the category is wide. QuickCoach Pro is $39 flat. Trainerize Pro 100 is $225 before add-ons. PT Distinction reaches $169.90 once extra-client fees are added. My PT Hub Premium holds at $105, which is competitive, though the platform's programming depth for pure S&C work is a separate question from price. If you want the Everfit Studio bundle at 100, it is $165 a month with Autoflow and On-Demand Collections included.
The honest-cost call
At 20 athletes, free genuinely fits on QuickCoach. The free tier is not a trial with a clock, and the 20-client cap covers a real team roster. No other platform in this comparison offers a free tier that holds 20 athletes. Trainerize free is 1 client, Everfit free is 5, and the rest have no permanent free tier at all.
From 21 athletes onward, QuickCoach Pro at $39 a month, or $32.50 a month on annual billing, is the honest flat price. The competitor stacks scale. Trainerize climbs to $225 a month at 100 clients before add-ons. TrueCoach forces a Custom quote past 50. Everfit Pro 100 reaches $140 plus add-ons. My PT Hub Premium stays at $105 flat, which is a genuinely competitive unlimited option, though coaches running pure strength programming tend to weigh feature fit alongside the bill. PT Distinction scales with extra-client fees to $169.90 at 100.
If you are still working out what your time is worth before committing to a platform, the coaching rate calculator works backwards from an income target and roster size to a per-athlete rate. That number makes the software cost easy to weigh. The free vs paid coaching software guide covers the upgrade decision in more detail.
How these figures were verified
Every price on this page is transcribed from the pricing record we maintain, the single source of truth for competitor and QuickCoach pricing across all our content. The ledger was last verified in July 2026 against each platform's public pricing page. We re-verify quarterly, and where a competitor announces a change between checks we flag and re-check before publishing.
We do not invent, round differently, or pull prices from memory or older drafts. Monthly billing and the per-month effective rate on annual billing are stated separately throughout, never blended. RRP (regular) rates are used, not temporary promo rates. Where a competitor scales by client count via a slider, we cite the specific breakpoint (for example, Trainerize Pro 30 or Everfit Pro 75) rather than implying one flat price. Custom-branded app and full white-label app are treated as distinct, because coaches confuse them constantly. The full ledger, including add-on details and notes, sits in our free coaching software comparison and the individual platform pricing pages.
